Brinksmanship  negotiations between the EU and  the Greek political establishment continued all day Wednesday, EU Finance Ministers are worried that Greece will not follow through on its austerity agreements and seem now to be trying to put the the current and next governments on a short leash.

The EU FinMin meeting wound up with EU President Junker saying significant progress has been made on bailout talks and targeted Monday for a decision. 

China pledged to play a larger role in helping Europe get through its financial difficulties.

End of fiscal year Japanese life insurance investment adjustment activity coming into focus? Covert intervention by the BOJ has been confirmed, and more was threatened on Friday.
